The 26th Annual Richard J. Yashek Memorial Lecture

Art and Resistence in Nazi Occupied France Matisse at War presented by Christopher C. Gorham
Free and open to the public

Spotlighting the years during WWII when Henri Matisse and his family defiantly refused to evacuate Nazi-occupied France, this lecture will illuminate the previously untold history of their passionate roles in the Resistance and the pro-digious, revolutionary work the artist produced in the face of facism, violence and hate.
